My vote would go to wordpress, for me it is more SEO friendly with plenty of SEO plugins available and we can find hunderds of free wordpress themes pretty easily on throughout the internet.

I agree that WordPress is better and has a lot of cool plug-ins for the most convenient use. It is ideal for blogs.

At present WordPress have many eye-catching advertising themes and plugins.
But licenses of those themes and plugins are rather expensive; most of them have strict restrictions on ad expiration terms.

Wordpress has themes and plugins to extend the facilities and make it customizable and it is seo and beginner friendly.
